Survey Work to be Accomplished around Townhip:
Guilford Township Authority (sewer)
will be conducting GIS (Geographic Information system) surveying throughout the township over the next several months. This work involves surveyors from our Engineer Buchart Horn and members of authority staff taking shots on Manholes in streets and on Right-of-Ways as well as Cleanouts on Residential properties. You may see green paint markings as well as Green colored flags along your property line. These are used by the surveyors to locate your cleanout and will be removed once they have collected their data. If you have any questions please contact our office at 264-7653 option #2.
PA DEP designates GUILFORD TOWNSHIP a small MS4
Portions of Guilford Township have been “urbanized” according to the results of the 2010 census.
As a result the Township must apply for NPDES coverage for storm water discharges from the “urbanized” areas.
A portion of the requirements of the Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) is mapping.
For the next several weeks, surveyors from Brehm-Lebo Engineering, Inc., Township Engineers, will be
acquiring the necessary field data on existing drainage structures to prepare the required mapping.
If you have any questions please contact the Supervisors’ office at 717-264-6626 or Brehm-Lebo’s office at 717-267-1401.
